Mrs. Anderson's Baking Cake Tester tests baked goods for doneness and helps with food decorating tasks. It's longer than toothpicks to probe deeper into the center of taller cakes for more accuracy than the toothpick test. No more raw, undercooked cakes. Unlike using a knife or fork, the tapered tip and narrow profile won't leave large holes behind that need to be filled or patched.
Also use it to remove bubbles from icing and dough, smooth out glazes and frostings, fill in color details, check vegetables, meat, and fish for tenderness, and more. Simply insert the metal stem into the cake's center. If it comes out clean, the cake is fully cooked. If raw batter clings to the stem, the cake needs more time to cook.
