Bring old-world charm to the table with the Galley & Fen Solid Copper Butter Dish. Made from pure copper, this butter dish is as functional as it is beautiful. The piece is engraved with “BUTTER” for a classic look that recalls vintage European tableware.
Galley and Fen look to the past for inspiration when designing their products and this butter dish is no exception to that. They designed this butter dish to be slightly larger, being able to perfectly hold two sticks of butter. Or, for those who handmake their own butter, this is the dish for you. Made entirely out of pure copper and featuring a brass plaque and handle, this butter dish makes a beautiful statement in any kitchen. We recommend hand washing.
* Solid copper construction – durable, elegant, and built to last.
* Engraved detail – clearly marked “BUTTER” for authenticity.
* Timeless design – simple curvy shape with a warm polished finish.
* Everyday heirloom – perfect for daily meals or entertaining guests.
* Patina friendly – copper naturally deepens in character over time or can be polished to a bright shine.
Whether placed on the counter, a rustic farmhouse table or a modern dining setting, this butter dish brings heritage craftsmanship to every meal.

Care Information
• Washing: Rinse knives under cold running water immediately after use to prevent staining, using your fingers, a sponge, or a towel - always avoiding the sharp edge. Stainless steel blades rarely retain food, but a little dish soap helps with greasy residues. Large knives are best washed by hand, even if they have synthetic handles, since dishwashers can dull blades or cause corrosion if knives aren’t positioned carefully. If using a dishwasher, rinse first, avoid contact with other utensils, and use a mild detergent to minimize staining.
• Drying: Do not let knives air dry, as this can leave limescale spots and increase the risk of corrosion. Instead, dry knives immediately after washing with a clean cotton or linen towel. Always ensure the towel is free from debris to avoid scratching the blade.
• Storage: Never store knives loosely in a drawer, as unprotected blades can become dull or damaged. To maintain sharpness and safety, use a knife block, in-drawer holder, or wall-mounted magnetic strip. Proper storage ensures longevity and protects both the blades and the user.
